Overview
Acting on behalf of the Greek State, HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions in conjunction with partners is
planning, financing, building, upgrading and operating the Maliakos-Kleidi toll motorway. The project
involves a section some 230 kilometers in length linking with a further 30 kilometers
of national road to form part of the Greek PATHE motorway. This links the two metropolises of Thessaloniki
(Salonika) and Athens with the Peloponnese and Patras, the country's biggest port. The Maliakos-Kleidi
section is the most important and busiest transport corridor between the Greek capital Athens and Thessaloniki.
It runs from Raches in the south on the Maliakos Bay to Kleidi in the north.
