Together with a partner, HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions was commissioned to extend the A4 highway in Germany within the framework of a PPP contract. To carry out the assignment, the concession company Via Solutions Thüringen GmbH & Co. KG was founded. It is led by HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions which holds a 50 percent share. For a period of 30 years, the consortium will operate and maintain a 45-kilometer section of the A4 in Thuringia between the Gotha junction and the border with the federal state of Hesse.

Financing, design and construction/widening of a 25-kilometer section also form part of the contract. The PPP project represents an investment volume of some EUR 300 million. It is one of the so-called A-model highway extension projects for which Germany's Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs has invited bids.
