In Frankfurt am Main, HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions GmbH is designing, financing, constructing and operating four schools on the basis of a public-private partnership (PPP) contract. To realize this project, the company set up the project company HOCHTIEF PPP Schulpartner Frankfurt am Main GmbH & Co. KG. The 20-year contract concluded between the company and the city of Frankfurt represents a volume of approximately EUR 248 million.

In this project, HOCHTIEF manages the entire life-cycle of the school buildings: Under the leadership of HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions, the construction measures are executed by HOCHTIEF Construction AG, after which HOCHTIEF Facility Management will take on responsibility for operation. Interim operations during the refurbishment period started on August 1, 2007. Calculations prepared by the Frankfurt am Main authorities say that thanks to the PPP solution, the city will save some 15 percent of the costs it would have incurred if it had opted for tackling the task all by itself.
