With a symbolic handover of the key in October 2006, HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions GmbH inaugurated the new city hall in Gladbeck together with the local citizens.

The company designed, financed and built the EUR 44 million administrative building and will operate it over the next 25 years. During this period, the municipal authorities will pay a monthly utilization fee. The new city hall offers 11,000 square meters of space and accommodates 300 administration employees. Gladbeck is the first PPP pilot project involving the construction of a new city hall in Northrhine-Westphalia.
