Overview
In fall 2007, HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions (Ireland) Ltd., a subsidiary of HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions GmbH,
handed over the new Cork School of Music to the Irish Department of Education and to the school's
management and students. Some two years before, the company had been commissioned to finance, build
and operate the Cork School of Music on the basis of a public-private partnership (PPP) contract.
For this purpose, HOCHTIEF and Barclays Private Equity plc established the project company Cork School
of Music Services Ltd. in which each of the two companies has a 50-percent share. The project has a contract
volume of around
EUR 210 million.
