Overview
In the eastern part of Manchester, HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions (UK) Ltd., a subsidiary
of HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions GmbH, designed, financed and renewed the Wright Robinson
Sports College. Since it handed over the new school to the client in September 2007,
the company now also is responsible for operating the facility. The Sports College
was HOCHTIEF's first public-private partnership (PPP) project in the field of
public-sector building construction abroad. To realize the project, HOCHTIEF and
Barclays Private Equity plc established the project company Manchester Schools Services
Ltd. in which both partners hold a 50 percent share.

1,800 pupils has a size of
19,000 square meters and
features state-of-the-art sports facilities. The college covers an area of just under
14 hectares, including exterior premises. The project volume totals around
EUR 170 million.
